Holy shit, Eli Manning is an awful quarterback. I mean, watching this guy try to connect with receivers is akin to New York's search for true love: you might think something good is going on, and maybe it even is for a while, but it will ultimately turn to shit. I find it hard to believe that there are really Giants fans who feel confident in Eli week to week. Anyway, my real goal here is to disabuse Giants fans from the ridiculous notion that Eli and Peyton's first four years were identical, tricking themselves into believing that the atrocious Eli is going to turn himself into a great quarterback in the next two years. Since Eli didn't play much his first year, we'll be only looking at completion percentage for that year. (Note that Eli's fourth year is still in progress)

Eli - 24, 24, 19
Peyton - 26, 33, 26
Touchdowns are actually pretty close, but Passing Yards and Completion % is where Peyton really takes off.
Passing Yards
Eli - 3762, 3244, 2974
Peyton - 4135, 4413, 4131
Completion Percentage
Eli - 48.2, 52.8, 57.7, 55.6
Peyton - 56.7, 62.1, 62.5, 62. 7
And yeah, I know QB Ratings are flawed, but let's take a look anyway.
Eli - 75.9, 77.0, 72.6
Peyton - 90.7, 94.7, 84.1
So not only has Eli never had a better rating than Peyton, but he's never even been above the league average.
The decision: Holy shit, Eli Manning sucks.

if you read the article well, you'd understand that we only looked at completion percentage in year one because eli didn't play enough games to compare to Peyton's touchdowns or yards. If anything, I was being kind to Eli by doing that.
